The Baja Designs XL40 LED Headlight Kit is a moto-specific lighting upgrade built for Husqvarna trail riders, Dual Sport enthusiasts, and desert racers who need dependable, high-output illumination once the sun goes down. Derived from the XL80 platform, the XL40 brings that same trail-proven performance to motorcycles running lower-output OEM stators that couldn't support a full-size unit — a gap that left a lot of capable bikes stuck with underwhelming factory headlights.

At the heart of the kit is the XL Trail Lens, which produces both a vertical and horizontal beam pattern engineered specifically for technical singletrack and fast desert terrain. Rather than throwing a harsh central hotspot, the Trail Lens redistributes light evenly across near-field and peripheral zones, giving you the clarity you need through tight corners, quick elevation changes, and dense tree cover.

Installation is straightforward because the kit ships with a Motominded bracket purpose-built for precise fitment on your Husqvarna — no fabricating, no guesswork. The XL40 replaces your OEM headlight directly, and the included hardware covers the mechanical side of the swap.
