The Baja Designs XL40 LED Headlight Kit with Shell is a moto-specific lighting upgrade built for KTM dirt bike riders who push into low-light conditions on trail, dual sport, and desert terrain. Designed with the same performance pedigree as the XL80, the XL40 brings serious illumination to a broader range of motorcycles — including those running lower-output OEM stators that couldn't handle more demanding setups.

At the heart of this kit is the XL Trail Lens, which produces both a vertical and horizontal beam pattern tuned for technical riding. Rather than throwing a harsh centre hotspot, the Trail Lens redistributes light across your field of view — giving you better visibility through elevation changes, tight corners, and fast singletrack transitions where peripheral awareness matters most.

This kit comes with the XL40 unit pre-installed inside a KTM-specific headlight shell, so fitment is straightforward and clean without fabrication or guesswork.
