Installation Video
SS5 CrossLink Assembly Video:
Tools Required
- 3/8" ratchet
- 10mm and 13mm sockets
- T40 Torx socket
- 10mm wrench
- 4mm and 5mm Allen keys
- Drill with 1/8" and stepping drill bits
- Flush-cut pliers
- Plastic trim removal tool
- Tape measure
Disassembly Instructions
Step 1 — Remove Driver Seat and Interior Trim
Undo both driver seat adjustment buckles using the red pull tabs. Pry up the cup holder with a plastic trim removal tool and disconnect the connector with blue tabs underneath. Feed the safety harness through the back of the seat, pull the release handle, and tilt the seat forward and out. Remove the four 10mm bolts along the bottom of the center console. Remove the two 10mm bolts and two clips from the driver-side kick panel. Lift the rubber shift cover and remove the T40 bolt underneath to remove the shifter trim.
Wiring and Switch Instructions
Step 2 — Connect Battery and Mount Switch
Using a 10mm socket, connect the red wire from the wiring harness to the positive battery terminal and the black wire to the negative terminal. Tuck the relay next to the battery. Route the white connector lead from the battery under the center console into the cup holder area, then down around the shifter toward the firewall — route around the shifting bracket, not through it. Continue to the hole at the back of the passenger-side kick panel. Pop out a factory switch blank with a pick tool. If using the included round toggle switch, trim the key slot with flush-cut pliers and drill a hole to approximately 20.5mm. Feed the white lead through the front, press the switch into place with double lines on top, and connect.
Step 3 — Route DT Leads to Roof
From the battery, route the DT leads under the plastic coverings and up the driver-side B-pillar toward the roof. Route the DT lead toward the front of the roof, securing with zip ties along the way.
Light Bar Assembly and Mounting
Step 4 — Assemble CrossLink Light Bar
Assemble the SS5 CrossLink LED Light Bar before mounting — refer to the assembly video above. Use the second notch on the links to create the appropriate curve for the RZR roof.
Step 5 — Mount Roof Brackets and Light Bar
Using a T40 Torx bit, remove the four bolts from the roof. Beginning on the passenger side, bolt the roof bracket in place with the feet pointing toward the center of the vehicle using the factory hardware — hand-tighten only. Repeat for the driver's side. Using a tape measure, adjust both brackets so the outer edges are approximately one inch from the roof panel edge on each side. Tighten the T40 bolts. With help from another person, bolt the SS5 CrossLink Light Bar to the roof brackets using the supplied 10mm bolts — hand-tighten to allow for aiming adjustments.
Step 6 — Connect and Aim
Plug the DT lead (routed in Step 3) into the open DT receptacle on the CrossLink Light Bar wiring harness. Test function. Aim by tilting the light bar up or down, then tighten all six 10mm mounting bolts.
Reassembly
Reassemble the RZR by reversing the disassembly steps. Zip-tie any loose wiring to keep it away from hot or moving parts.
