Tools Required
- Plastic trim removal tool
- Ratchet with extension
- 13mm socket and wrench
- 10mm socket
- Needle nose pliers
Mounting Instructions
Step 1 — Remove Grille and Expose Mounting Holes
Using a trim removal tool, remove the 4 push tabs and 4 tree clips securing the front grille. Pull the plastic trim away to expose the inside of the front bumper/grille. Pry up the plastic trim on the front bumper to expose the mounting holes for the bracket — you may need to reach under the bumper and squeeze the trim clips to loosen them.
Step 2 — Install Mounting Bracket
Install the bracket using the six 13mm bolts, nuts, and washers provided in the kit.
Wiring Instructions
Step 3 — Route Wiring Harness
On the passenger side, feed the 4-pin female DT connector down toward the fog lights. Remove the 10mm bolt and plastic clip holding the inner fender liner. Find the female DT connector and pull enough slack for it to reach the front passenger grille bracket. Route the connector through the fender liner to the grille opening, then pull enough wire harness through to connect to the SS5 CrossLink light bar. Tuck the rest away.
CrossLink Assembly and Installation
Step 4 — Assemble and Install CrossLink Light Bar
Assemble the 6-pod SS5 light bar using the CrossLink assembly instructions — use the 2nd notch on the links for the correct curve. Install the wiring harness and route all wiring per the included instructions. Mount the assembled CrossLink light bar to the brackets.
Step 5 — Reinstall and Complete
Reinstall the grille by reversing the removal steps. Secure all wires, test thoroughly, and tighten all hardware to complete the installation.
