Standard LED bulbs use heat pipes and other methods to transfer heat down to the base of the bulb before dissipating it. The SL2 Pro takes a more direct approach — cooling right at the source of the heat. This straightforward design maximizes cooling efficiency and allows the SL2 Pro to run at higher power without dramatic intensity drop, producing 2,400 lumens of steady-state output per bulb.

The SL2 Pro has been tested through repeated thermal cycles from -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F) along with a range of other environmental tests.
